Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be met by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha, a peaceful town nestled beneath Mount Meru. Rest from your flight and enjoy a safari briefing in preparation for the days ahead.
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, known for its massive elephant herds, scenic baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. You’ll enjoy a full-day game drive, exploring the riverbanks where animals gather, especially during the dry season. Look for lions, giraffes, ostriches, and even tree-climbing pythons.
After an early breakfast, begin your scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands and into the legendary Serengeti National Park. Along the way, enjoy an en-route game drive with chances to spot giraffes, elephants, and gazelles. Upon arrival in Serengeti (depending on the migration season), head directly to the region where the Great Migration herds are expected — this could be the Ndutu area (South), Grumeti (West), or Kogatende/Lamai (North). Your guide will tailor your route accordingly.
Today is dedicated to tracking the Great Migration. Depending on the season, you may witness, Wildebeest calving (Feb–March) in Ndutu, River crossings at Grumeti (May–June) or Mara River (July–Sept), Intense predator activity: lions, cheetahs, leopards following the herds. Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch in the bush. Your expert guide will take you to the best vantage points for photography and wildlife viewing.
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive for one last chance to witness the drama of the Serengeti. Then, begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with optional stops, such as a Maasai village or Olduvai Gorge — one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world.
After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a vast volcanic caldera that hosts over 25,000 animals, including black rhinos, hippos, lions, hyenas, and elephants. It’s one of the only places in Africa where you can spot the Big Five in a single day. Enjoy a game drive on the crater floor, followed by a scenic picnic lunch near the hippo pool. In the afternoon, ascend and return to your lodge.
After breakfast, if time allows, you may opt for a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park known for its tree-climbing lions, flamingos, and lush groundwater forests. Later, return to Arusha for your international departure or overnight stay. Airport transfer provided based on your flight time.
