Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Arusha – Fly to Serengeti National Park
Upon arrival in Arusha, you'll be transferred to Arusha Airport for your scenic flight over the Great Rift Valley and the Ngorongoro Highlands to Serengeti National Park. Upon landing at the airstrip, your private guide and safari vehicle will greet you. Enjoy your first game drive en route to your luxury tented camp. Spend the afternoon watching wildlife and soaking in the beauty of the endless plains.
Day 2 - Full-Day Safari in Serengeti – Explore the Migration
Spend a full day discovering the world-famous Serengeti ecosystem, home to the Great Wildebeest Migration, Big Cats, elephants, giraffes, and more. Your experienced guide will take you to the best locations for wildlife viewing, customized to the migration season.
Day 3 - Morning Game Drive – Transfer to Ngorongoro Highlands
After a morning game drive and early lunch, depart the Serengeti by private flight or vehicle transfer (depending on guest preference) to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, take in dramatic landscapes and possibly visit a Maasai village or Olduvai Gorge, the cradle of mankind. Arrive at your luxurious lodge perched on the crater rim or nestled in the highlands.
Day 4 - Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater – Big Five Safari
Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, and a haven for wildlife. Spend the day on a game drive across the crater floor in search of the Big Five—rhino, elephant, lion, leopard, and buffalo—alongside zebras, flamingos, hippos, and more. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool before ascending back to your lodge.
Day 5 - Scenic Drive or Flight to Arusha – Departure
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and soak in your final views of the highlands before your drive or return flight to Arusha (depending on your package). Arrive in time for your international flight or optional overnight stay in Arusha.
